No More Preschool!

Rowan has finally graduated, again from Preschool! Since he will be 5 this summer, he can finally go to kindergarten! He has been in daycare and preschool his whole life. Well just Preschool part time the last 2 years. This year he went to Mrs. Sandy's Preschool. It was better than kindergarten... she taught the kids things they learn in 1st grade. All the sight words, addition, reading basic stories, songs, and best of all... homework!
Rowan loved going to this great school. I know he is sad to be home this summer. We will miss you Grandma Sandy, and thanks for an amazing graduation.
This ceremony was like my high school graduation... well not really, but it was pretty brilliant, and of course I cried, I'm pregnant!

Rowan and 2 of his 5 girlfriends, Emily and Abby

The little group of buddies from last year's preschool. I love how they develop little friendships and love their friends.

Proud Daddy. Diploma, medal, cap...Big Boy is on his way to Kindergarten!

Palmer entering the "terrible two's"

Why do we call it the "terrible two's"?
I call it a number of things: intense, crazy, emotional, tiring, frustrating, adventure, and no patience... feel free to add more!
Palmer and Rowan were coloring, and Palmer likes to do everything Rowan does, like color with markers. I don't care, but now he is not allowed! I was cleaning up in the kitchen... a few minutes later... Rowan says, "Mom look at what Palmer is doing." I sort of ignored it, as they were quiet. Palmer had colored his shorts, shirt and most of his legs blue. I was laughing as Palmer said, "boo eggs mom" I will translate that for you to "Blue Legs Mom."

I attempted to clean him up by letting him pick through the treasured candy jar. Palmer has few limits with me, he colors the walls, tables, etc, and I don't seem to get mad. With Rowan I would get so up set with him. I guess its true that the more kids you have, the more lenient you become...

Family Ranch Time

Our family loves this ranch... my parents go often, however its like camping to me, and I am not a fan of the camping world! Kolby and the boys LOVE this place. They can ride horses, go fishing in the pond, the lake, take Rhino rides, the Quads, visit the deer, the cows, and all those ranch animals! The kids love to run around like crazy, go on walks, its so good for them to be free...

Kolby and Palmer... Palmer loves the Quad, he kept saying "quad, quad mom"

Lala made Palmer feel better about riding the mini horse

My kids are animal lovers, and apparently the animals like Palmer too!

Palmer fell in and was now pantless... he loved looking for "fishies", but we were scared he was headed into the deep merky water...

Rowan caught his 1ST FISH! We were dying over his HUGE smile, he was so proud, we all were. He learned to cast out all by himself, pretty far too, and reeled in slowly until he caught a fish. He did awesome!

The kids kept telling Lala to go FASTER... I was in the front seat, 8 months pregnant off roading, hoping I may shake this baby out... but it didn't work! Still pregnant and uncomfortable.
The cousins love all the things to do at the Ranch, we had fun as always, until next time... we will have 3 boys for Kolby to teach how to catch a fish... yikes!

Happy Mother's Day!

I love this day, I feel like I don't have to do anything... but I do anyways. Kolby and the kids were so thoughtful, how can I not love flowers, cards, meals made for me, and of course my favorite thing, a nice Lululemon giftcard. I might get used to being Queen of the house with all these boys, well maybe someday!
Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, The Best Mom in the world, I am not sure what I would do without my Mom! She is my best friend, listener and most honest friend. Jenni and I are so lucky to have you and have your unconditional support and love. XOXO

My Mom, "LALA" with Ava and Rowan at the Ranch 2011

Rowan made me the sweetest card at school. This is what it said:
1. My Mom is Special!
2. My Mom is special because "she takes me places."
3. I like it when my Mom "makes me food."
4. My Mom can do many things! I think she's best at "doing cartwheels." (I don't think Rowan has seen me do a cartwheel...)
5. My Mom has a pretty smile! I like to make her smile by "laughing"
6. My Mom is as pretty as a "pig" (what??!!! I was a little upset about this one...)
7. My Mom is smart! She even knows "about animals"

This saying is so true: "Kids say the darnedest things!" I love my boys and I am so grateful I can be home with them to raise their sweet little spirits. Its nice to know they appreciate some of what I do for them!

Happy Easter 2011!

My 2 Adorable Easter Bunny Boys

Rowan with his Auntie Alison, he loves her lots... and her new iPhone!

Our little Poser Palmer, he sees a camera or phone and just says "Cheese" He is a HAM!

All the adorable Sparks cousins on their annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Easter is one of my favorite Holidays. Not only for all my favorite treats, but for the spring color palate, all the bright colors we can wear and of course the weather is perfect.
The kids get better each year, and Rowan loves our traditions we have started. But Rowan still thinks that the Easter Bunny is like Santa Claus... he asked for a remote control airplane! We told him to save that for Santa... he was super happy with all his candy, eggs, new Easter clothes, race cars, etc.
This year Easter landed on Sunday, April 24th, and April 23rd has lots of meaning for Kolby and I. Its also my sister-in-law, Jenesey's Birthday. Happy Birthday to one of my BFF's... what would I do without my amazing SIL??!!
So we had lots to celebrate this weekend and to be Happy about!

Where did April go??!!

I cannot believe April has come and gone...
It has been the most beautiful month. The weather is my favorite, always in the 70-80's, we live outside and at our park at the end of our street. I love seeing all the neighborhood kids out riding their bikes, flying kites, and being outside. Its a rare month for us as I know come June, we will be stuck inside again, or at the pool!
I finally feel good again, well as good as you can feel pregnant and large chasing after 2 very active adventurous boys. We are officially in the 3rd trimester and counting down the weeks to meet Baby Boy #3. We still cannot agree on a name, or decide on the perfect name for this little boy.
We finally sold our house and will be moving in June just before we have the baby! We will have a hectic few months, but looking forward to our next adventure with the Sparks Boys!
I am slowly realizing that life can be hard and scary, but if you just try to relax and enjoy your day, everything seems to go good!

Rowan, The Artist

Rowan has always loved to paint and color with Mom. Over the last year, his love for art has grown so much and he has even picked out new paint brushes and colors over a new race car... which is huge for Rowan!
Rowan drew this picture at school a few months back of his family. Thought it was cute that he spelled the "sparks" and included our little dog Luna...!

Rowan was to draw a picture of himself at school, this is what he drew. I asked him what was the line on top of his head? He replied, "My shark fin Mom," instead of spikes, he likes a mohawk somedays, which he calls a shark fin. He has always had an obsession with sharks, and all animals!
