New York City

Christmas in New York is dreamy to me. Well anytime in New York is dreamy to me. I love the city, all the tourist stops, shopping, good eats, Broadway shows, Christmas decorations, the subway, the Taxi's, Central Park, New Yorkers, I can go on and on...
My Mom, Jill and I braved a weekend just before Christmas. It was perfect.

The greatest weekend all year... well one of them.

Family Photos 2011

Family photos are always a production. New outfits, color matching, no blemishes, happy kids, happy Dad, good weather... I wish it was so much easier. But once a year we take family photos, usually just in time for our Christmas Cards. My BF Stacey took our photos as usual, she does a super job!

Thanksgiving 2011

So much to be Thankful for this year. Most of all my family and our good health. We love spending Thanksgiving weekend with family, and having Kolby home for more than just the short weekend. But most of all we love the famous Thanksgiving meal!

Pilgrim Party at Rowan's school. Rowan had a musical performance and a Thanksgiving feast to celebrate all the things we are thankful for. Today I was most thankful for Rowan and the incredible boy he is becoming. He is the tallest in his class and the cutest...! Being the oldest is hard, but he is becoming a better example to his little brothers, more independent, more reverent, and more respectful. I love Rowan and I am thankful he is a part of our family.

Gilbert Family Rodeo. It was fun and dirty, but loved getting into our cowboy gear.

This picture sums up my evening with all the kids. Hudson is attached to me, Palmer wants to be attached to me, and Rowan is good on his own.
Mother Nature's Farm: The Pumpkin Patch

Yes, Rowan is a GIANT 5 year old.

The kids were able to pick out their own pumpkins, decorate them, carve them, and play. It was a great day with the family.
We had Thanksgiving dinner in Tucson at the Burris House. My Mom made an AMAZING feast, wish I had taken a picture of her amazing spread. My Mom out does herself every year on her table decor and her menu. Someday I hope to have Thanksgiving at my house and make a meal to compete with my Mom's!

My parents newest animal addition. The boys LOVE the new Lion their Pops shot in Africa.
My contribution to Thanksgiving dinner this year, Turkey cookies for the kids!

Heidi's Wedding

Our favorite Heidi got married and had a beautiful reception. Heidi has known my kids since they were born. She started watching Rowan at the gym when he was 3 months old, and has been a part of their lives since. Heidi has 2 other sisters. Lauren is our Nanny and babysitter Im not sure I would have survived this past summer without her. Lauren is to be married in January. Then Heidi's other sister Alex is also one of our sitters from the gym. She is getting married in March. So all my boys other Mom's are all getting married... Bittersweet for our family.

Beautiful Heidi with my 2 boys so excited!

Beautiful Lauren helping me as always with my boys!
This was their 1st wedding and they loved every minute of it. They were on the dance floor most the night and were super sad when it was time to go home.

Congrats to Heidi and Tanner Flaherty! XOXO

"Max & Ruby, Ruby & Max..."

My kids and cousins are obsessed with these parentless bunnies. It was a cute show and the kids went bananas. Palmer wanted to watch it again and didn't want to leave the show. Love how in love he is.

Happy Halloween!

What a FUN Halloween we had! I think as kids get older Holidays get more fun! We had Halloween at school, at Church, at Jenesey's neighborhood, then in our own neighborhood. The kids got some serious candy.

Rowan was a serious Bass Fisherman and used his real lures and worms in his vest and hat. He was so excited to wear all his gear. Hudson was our adorable Happy Skeleton.

Palmer loves to play dress up. So he had extra fun this Halloween and wanted every costume. I have a hard time saying no to Palmer. So he had the chance to be Batman, Superman, and an airplane.
